What It Means to Be a 501(c)(3)

The Bennet–Palmyra Childcare Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, meaning we exist to serve the community — not to make a profit. All funds raised are used solely to support our mission of creating affordable childcare and a community space for local families.

As a nonprofit, we are required to follow strict guidelines on how donations are used, ensuring transparency, accountability, and responsible stewardship of every contribution. Funds are carefully tracked and applied only toward approved charitable purposes related to planning, development, and future operations.

Donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law, and donors receive a receipt for their records. Our nonprofit status allows us to build long-term programs, apply for grants, and focus entirely on meeting the needs of families in the Bennet–Palmyra community.

Donation Information

Donations to Bennet/Palmyra Childcare Foundation may be potentially eligible for up to a 75% Nebraska State Tax Credit under Neb. Rev. Stat. §§ 77-7201 to 77-7205 Child Care Tax Credit Act LB 754. To potentially receive this tax credit, you need to complete an application and have a receipt, both of which are available from us upon request.
